Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 8
I hope by now you see that this challenge is not just about stuff. It’s about making room for God in our lives. When we follow His lead, when we lean in, we will always see His hand at work. I’d love to hear from you if you’ve had a spiritual breakthrough or God “winks” so far in this challenge. God is on the move! If you haven’t started this challenge, make today your day!
Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 7
You can do this as a scavenger hunt. Let me quickly recap days 1-6 and then you can knock them out including today’s items in about fifteen minutes. Yes, you read that correctly. It doesn’t take that long to count to 28, and that’s the total number of items you’ll be gathering to part with in some way today.
Unlock Your Creative Potential: Seven Reasons Writers Need Retreats
Understand the role of self-reflection in a writer's journey. Retreats offer the time and space for introspection, helping writers evolve and grow both personally and professionally. Clarity often comes through action and by taking the action to attend a retreat and implement the guidance, you’ll be well on your way to fulfilling your calling to write.
Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 6
I love a good challenge or game! (Hence this challenge!) If you read Save the Butter Tubs!: Discover Your Worth in a Disposable World, you’ll likely remember the family trophies for game night. We love games so much, that my hubs created trophies for many of our family favorites.
Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 5

You have enough going on this time of year and keeping it simple will help you in the long-term. Counting the items helps you separate your emotions from the items as well as from the process. And like my dear friend, you may find you have something “useless” in your home that someone else may treasure. Pass it on!
Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 4
Yesterday, I woke up with the worst headache I’ve ever had. I wasn’t sure what was happening. I’m thankful for my hubs that took great care of me and that I feel better today, but not 100%. I have a productive week planned, but I surrender those plans to God.
Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 3
Then I reminded myself of this challenge and which space in my house I know is long overdue for attention. I opened the drawer in my bathroom and said to myself, out loud, “Just grab two!” I quickly did, wondered how one even ended up in the drawer, looked at the expiration date on the other, and was shocked …
Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 2
Keeping with my promise to keep this short, I am. I just want you to know that I’m sincerely praying for you throughout this challenge.
Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 1
Did you know that physical mess can cause mental stress? Yes, it’s true. It also is a waste of time. Remember the last time you spent time trying to find that one thing? You know, the one you stashed in a “safe” place. I’m still looking for my “safe” place for some particular items.
