God’s Plan Not Mine
I have a lump in my throat just thinking about moving the Writer’s Retreat Box up by a month. I mean, you could consider February’s box the first, but preparing two giveaway boxes isn’t the same as preparing twenty-five actual boxes. Well, it is and it isn’t. God is speaking to me as I write and reminding me that the majority of the work it takes to curate a box for you is the same for one box or multiple boxes. I love this thought because I want these boxes to feel personal. It reminds me of feedback I received from a participant at my beach retreat last year. She said, “I think the items in your box will make the attendees feel worthy and special. I know the retreat bags you put together for us made me feel loved. Each item seemed to have been prayerfully chosen just for me! I love that we got items for our writing and for our soul.”
This is exactly my goal with the Writer’s Retreat Box—to fuel your writing and nourish your soul!
The box curation process is part of what led me to subscription boxes to begin with. I’m a natural integrative thinker and prophet so these two gifts work hand and hand to curate these boxes. I hope I didn’t just freak you out with the word prophet. Don’t worry, I won’t be telling you how the world will end. God revealed my gift of prophecy years ago and I share it in my book, A Moved Soul which was released in June of 2023. As God has revealed to me, my role as a prophet is to help others see things easily overlooked.
Each box will contain items to remind you of His Word and how it applies to your writing. Just typing this makes me tear up. That’s a huge responsibility, God! I’m honored you’ve chosen me and pray you will use me to bring testimonies from the souls of women across the United States. Imagine if women of faith in your community began sharing their testimonies on a regular basis. Would it expand your faith? Would be wait in expectation of what God was going to do instead of doubting and feeling the sense of lack the world wants us to feel?
It’s hard to type when you’re speechless. This is so much bigger than me or a subscription box. God is on the move and He has chosen these boxes as a way to encourage you to share His goodness with others through your obedience to write.
