Abundant Life Advent Challenge: Day 18

Whoa, yesterday I unloaded a bit … a bit of goodness, but I understand it can be a lot for some. You may have joined this challenge because you thought it was about organizing or decluttering. And it is … on the deepest level.

You may have heard that our outside visual clutter reflects our internal clutter. I believe this is true. The easiest way to clean the external clutter is to find clarity in your mission. When you know the most important assignment in your life at any given moment, you can let go of anything that doesn’t support that mission or vision.

It sounds simple, but it’s complicated, or there wouldn’t be storage facilities on every corner. If you struggle in this area, I want you to grab Save the Butter Tubs! Discover Your Worth in a Disposable World and this FREE Calling Core Components worksheet. Both will provide you with some much-needed clarity.

If writing is your current calling and you are struggling, go to the resources in yesterday’s post.

Now for today’s exercise in decluttering the external. Head to your linen closet or where you keep your towels, sheets, pillowcases, blankets, et cetera. This is the perfect time of year to donate these items to homeless shelters. Toss anything that is torn or stained. Any sheets that don’t fit the beds you currently have, go in the box.
